Ridgway Reservoir in Colorado

Trip Overview

Only the second time we have ever been kayaking, but found the water easy to work with. Wind pulled up some mid-sized rolling waves.

Awesome views of the Rocky Mountains toward Ouray, while playing in the cool water made the entire trip memorable and breathtaking. We will be going back as soon as possible.

Bathrooms, showers, open beaches.

Fees:

Daily park pass $7 or annual pass for $70

Directions:

From Ridgway, north about 3 miles to Reservoir.
