Rancocas Creek

A self-supported trip created by Longtrailahead

Trip Overview

The Linden Avenue public access boat ramp, is a great place to launch from. There is plenty of parking, and the entire site is well maintained. Putting in, is found to be most easiest on the wide concrete boat ramp-it is recommended though that caution be used on the ramp, as large pieces of debris can be found strewn about the ramp, after tidal flow changes. I used the site for a round-trip excursion, on over to the New Jersey side, and specifically Rancocas Creek, which lies just up-river slightly.

Safety Notes

Close attention should be paid to tidal water flows, tugboats, large container ships, pleasure boaters, jet skiers, as well as floating debris.

Gear Notes

All the obvious items should be used, but I prefer to bring along an extra set of paddles, nautical charts, a compass, and commonsense as well.

Conditions

Expected weather & river conditions for the entire day, should always be looked at before venturing out.
