Trip Overview

My 12-year-old son and I just did this route this morning. Several times we almost had to portage around fallen trees, but instead were able to wiggle through... once by lying down in our boats, much to my son's delight!

Initially there was background traffic noise, but not enough to ruin the trip. The current was strong enough to carry us along nicely, but wasn't so strong that it posed a hazard. It took us 2.25 hours to get to the take-out spot off of Sindall Road.

Low water levels might be problematic, as the river is not very deep here. This is a great trip to take with children, or if you want a relaxing paddle without significant hazards.

All in all, it was a great trip.
