Trip Overview
Put in at the Prairie Oaks put in, traveled south through Prairie Oaks Metro Park and through Batelle Darby Metro Park taking out at Alkire Road. Trip took about 4.5 hours. It was mostly flat with a little bit of current. Some small rapids. You will need to navigate around some trees. Two people in our party of four did flip going around a downed tree and getting caught. Both were beginner kayakers. You also have to navigate through some rock dams near the Darby Dan House.
