Trip Overview

Locked my sup at Portman Park and drove to the Shannon Rd. Bike path access. Parked there and rode my bike back to Portman Park (5 mi ?) Locked my bike there and paddled just short of the Winchester Pike bridge over Blacklick Creek. I pulled out there. I walked about 200 yds. to get my car. Pulled off the road just short of Winchester Pike on Shannon and picked up my sup. It was about a 4 to 5 hours paddle.

Safety Notes

Lower water can be deceiving. the chutes can pick up speed pretty quickly and tree roots can be massively over the creek with the current running under them.

Gear Notes

11' AnCheer Isup.

Conditions

Medium low water. Log jams.

Portage Notes

It was medium to low water and there were numerous shallows where I had to walk the sup through. There are a lot of log jams and the situation is always changing. sometimes you have to portage.
