Trip Overview

Pointe Chein (Point ta shane) Marina, is located about 30 miles south of Houma, La. Easy to locate and quite taken for granted. Most anglers use the marina as a launching point, for areas much farther south, not realizing the pristine is just minutes from the landing. You can put your pirouge, canoe, or kayak in at the landing and within in minutes, you're in the marshes of Louisiana, with redfish all over you. Not to mention the scenic views in every direction. There is nothing like a sunrise over the marsh. A trip well worth the drive. The marina has accommodations for every need as well as overnight or weeklong stays. Believe me, you could stay for a month, and not see all this place has to offer. Call Pointe Chein Marina, in Pointe Chein Louisiana, for more info.
