Trip Overview

We put in under the Green River Road Bridge (between Lynch Rd and Boonville-New Harmony Rd exists, parallel to I-164) . We had to trudge through some thick mud to get to the water, but you take the bad with the good. We have had some steady rain in Southern Indiana which meant the creek was up 4-5 feet.

The entrance was tricky as there was no put-in at this spot; we slid down the side of the bank. The paddling was pretty easy with a slight current and there was plenty of wildlife to see along trip. There were some obstructions along the way, but only once did we have to exit the kayaks and walk around.

We exited at the Heidelbach canoe ramp about 4.5 miles down. I would recommend this section to anyone as long as the water is up.
