Put in at the Peatfield boat launch and went upriver till the stone weir that is about .4 miles down river of the Willowdale dam. The launch is a metal dock and very easy to access your boat from, might be harder if the water level gets low and the step doesn't get lowered. River was at a decent height but had to get out and walk some sections with the tandem kayak i was in with my kids, due to rocks and low water level. Saw a few beaver dams, 1 beaver, a bald eagle, and lots of geese. Not many other users on this section of river since it was below the Willowdale Dam and Foote Brothers. Total of 3.8 miles to the weir from the put in and a total of 7.2 miles altogether.
Safety Notes
Stay to the sides when going under the railroad bridge and left side (going up river/right side (down river) at the mil st arch bridge. due to rocks and trees blocking the path
