Trip Overview

Beautiful river running through thick woodland area. If you put in at the Bradford Fishing Access Site on Rte. 91 you can either go up stream (where many fishermen prefer) or with the current.

The river runs under the Rte. 91 bridge. Stay to your right after the bridge as there is a dam straight ahead. Exit on right directly before dam. It's a fairly easy portage- just rocky.

After that you have the river without obstructions for 7 1/2 miles before another dam at Potter Hill. Exit there on the Left side just Before the bridge. You can shorten this trip by 1 mile by taking out at the Rte. 3 bridge. Left side immediately after bridge.

Accommodations:

Parking for about 40 cars/trailers

Directions:

From Exit 1 on I-95 take Rte. 3 to Rte 216 towards Ashaway. Make a right onto Rte. 91 and the put-in site is just ahead on the left before the Tim Horton's Donut Shop.
