Pajaro River Picnic Area to Elkhorn Slough

Trip Overview

Put in at Pajaro River Picnic Area at 11am. Paddled 1.5 miles upstream until river became un-navigable. Went downstream to the ocean (5-6 miles) and then along the coast (3 miles) to Elkhorn Slough. Took out at 2pm. Fun, varied trip including tight squeezes through downed trees on the upper Pajaro, and exposed, remote-feeling ocean along the coast.
