Using my base in Minising MI and camping in a campground just west of town, I explored this area for a few days. Put in was near a boat ramp so there was adequate parking. Water was quite calm on Lake Superior first thing in the morning but gets chopped up pretty good later in the day when all the tour boats come out. There is one company in particular that it has an extremely fast and quite annoying boat which gives the passengers quite a rush when they’re on it but leaves enormous wakes for paddlers like me to try to not get swamped by. If paddling later in the day I’d recommend a sea skirt. Paddled all down the Lakeshore to see all the highlights, and of course to paddle through the arch and into one of the larger caves. The Cliff sides are really quite spectacular in their color.
