A self-supported trip created by paddler2680985

Trip Overview

Easy river paddle upstream on rising tide. No rapids. 4 hrs paddling with two newish to kayaking paddlers. Lots of birds, interesting bridges, scenic paddle. Difficult to get out of kayaks halfway for a break. Paddled 13 km in total. Put in at boat ramp on Tidnish Head road. Do not park at ramp but on road shoulder as it gets busy. Safety Notes

Easy paddle for newer paddlers, be cautious of boat traffic on good weather weekends. Motor boaters were all courteous. Plan route to match low to high tides if paddling upstream. Current less near shore if you have to paddle against tide.
