Pacolet River in South Carolina

Trip Overview

Nice paddle just after weekend rain. 15 miles 5hours from Pacolet, SC to Skull Shoals hwy 105 boat landing.

Lots of down trees but we were able to get around in our 2 person kayak. If it's dry weather probably would have been a lot of portage. It was relaxing and turned out to be a really nice afternoon since we thought we were going to paddle in the rain all day.

My next trip.... from there to Lockhart, SC I think another 15 mi

Accommodations:

Gravel parking area with video, locked gate but you can get through and return in 20 after dropping off boats. The walk to the water is not bad.
