Owasco Lake in New York

Trip Overview

We paddled upstream (south) from the south end towards Moravia. The water was easy flowing and is shaded with large trees for quite a ways then it comes to the flats or farmland.

There are birds and wildlife to watch for and plenty of fauna to identify. You can paddle into the side branches and explore (be careful to mark a return trail).

Overall it was an easy, enjoyable trip for anyone. One of our group was on the water for her first trip and very much enjoyed it. She did not get tired-out or sore

A very enjoyable trip for beginners or old hands.
