Overton Arm Lake Mead Nevada

Trip Overview

Launched at Echo Bay on Lake Mead not at the boat ramp but from the beach onto the lake. There’s a fairly easy launch spot from the eastern end of the parking lot above the boat ramp. I’ve included a photo of it. The map of our route starts in the middle of the lake because I forgot to turn the app on. We paddled across the Overton Arm to the east shore where erosion has made some fantastic rock sculptures along the cliffs. Explored Cottonwood Cove and Preacher’s Cove then headed back. Rescued a deflated soccer ball floating along the shore, yeah it was a Wilson. Lovely warm, calm day.
