Trip Overview

Water was quite low. About 3.8 ft on the gauge:

Bounced off of the bottom 3 or 4 times from the North River Rd. put in to just past Holtwood campground. 2.5 hours for the trip of about 5 miles. Construction just west of Oconto forced us to duck under a temp. bridge with clearance of about 3 feet.

Accommodations:

Good parking at the put-in.

Fees:

None

Directions:

The put-in is just east of where County J turns north after going east for about 1/2 mile after crossing the Oconto river (Northbound directions). The road that continues along the river (east) is named "North River Road" and the launch is about 3/8 mile along it.
