Trip Overview

We put in at the Highway 83 boat ramp and paddled down the river to the Juliette Road ramp. There are no restrooms at either end but The Whistle Stop Cafe and other shops are a short distance from the Juliette takeout. We saw a few turtles and a possible gator. A few motorized boats passed but otherwise it was a slow and relaxing trip. We took about 2.5 hours to travel a little over 4 miles. The wind was mild but blowing against us the entire trip.

Fees:

None

Directions:

Highway 83 boat ramp is a few miles east of the US 23 and Highway 83 intersection north of Juliette.
