Went down this gem of a river in May with a group of local paddlers for a fundraising event and it was wonderful! A lovely, winding, peaceful stretch. Went again in July and realized quickly that the water level was very low in spots and the current rather swift so turning back wasn’t an option. Midway we met with some very low water levels and only one inflatable kayak survived which made for a very difficult paddle to the end. Thankfully we could get picked up at Ravenshoe Road. I definitely wouldn’t go back this time of year.
