Nolin River in Kentucky

Trip Overview

Entered Nolin River at 31w River crossing between Glendale and Sonora and went downriver several miles. This has been a extremely dry summer and river levels were down; there are a few spots where you can get stuck. There are also lots of debris and brush and obstacles to maneuver around.

Scenery was lovely and saw lots of wildlife. However about 3-4 miles down stream around the Monin Ln area there is a massive impassable dam of debris and down trees. There is no way around this obstacle. River is blocked as of July 24, 2012...
