Nissitissit River in New Hampshire

Trip Overview

We went and checked this river out on 26th April 2009

Sadly we didn't stay in it long, the water level was too low in a lot of places and there were numerous trees blocking the river. Add to that numerous areas of fast water, made it hard going upstream (but enjoyable going down, when we didn't get grounded). Finally the water was also a little polluted, not too bad though.

We abandoned our day early on, so this is more a warning to anyone who is thinking of going this time of year.

Directions:

Pinpoint: S. Main St & NH-130 near Brookline, NH on Google Maps

Launches:

The put in was nice and easy, with about 3 places to park, but it is a fire lane, be warned! (there is a parking space, clear of the lane)
