Trip Overview
Great time kayaking with the family at this location. An easy and laid back location to spend a few hours getting close to nature with the kids. We started at the lot C4 sticking to the left shore. We paddled under the power line tower where we spotted a pair of osprey siting right next to their nest. After following the sore for a while and crossing through some tall lily pads we crossed the lake to 2 NA for a short picnic. After eating, we kept following the left shore on our way to end a great day of paddling.
Gear Notes
Kids were paddling on Sundolphins Aruba 10-Foot Sit-in Kayaks and my wife and I were paddling an Ascend fs10.
Conditions
Great sunny day. The temperature was around 68 F.
Portage Notes
Lot C4 has a lot of parking space, but nothing for trailers. There's no ramp and you have to board on the sand. Kayak and canoe only.
2 NA - was a pretty good spot to have a picnic right next to the ramp. I didn't see any picnic tables, so we just sat on the grass.
