We launched at the Bell's Church Fishing Pier, which is a great launch area. There are about 15 parking spots at the lake level, and there is another parking lot just up the hill a little, so plenty of parking. There is a nice sandy area right next to the parking area, so a very easy and comfortable launch.
We paddled East and circumnavigated that portion of Jordan lake (about a 6-mile paddle), poking in and out of the various coves. We saw a ton of birds: numerous bald eagles, blue heron, osprey, etc. There was little wind. Even though it was a weekend, there was not many power boats to deal with; they tended to stay closer to the bridge and the center of the lake.
