Trip Overview

This is the perfect spot for those who live in the area and suffer from Eastern North Carolina boredom. The 3-hour trip winds along from the Broadhurst Bridge on Hwy 111 to the town of Seven Springs. On my recent trip I saw Horned Owls, Deer and an Otter. The highlight of the trip is viewing the Cliffs from the river located in the Cliffs of the Neuse State Park. There is a knowledgeable guide who rents Kayaks and Canoes at the beginning of the trip. His business is called Outdoors with Tony Daw. This is an easy trip so anyone can do it. I hope it catches on here.

Outfitting:

Toney Daw provides Camping, Shuttle and Boats. Rent on the Canoes is aprox $25.

Directions:

Hwy 70 east to Hwy 111 go south for about 7 miles until you get to the Broadhurst Bridge. There is a sign with a Canoe on it.

Launches:

Boat ramp is located at the Broadhurst Bridge. Getting out of the River in Seven Springs is easy with the use of the towns boat ramp.
