Trip Overview

Put in at the Hwy 30 bridge just outside College Station. This spot is typically busy with people fishing on the weekend. This is a bank put in that can be muddy. The water level was about 5-6 feet. I went up stream for about 2 miles, there were several overhanging tree that could be navigated around. At approximately 2 miles there was a tree blocking the river. It appears that you could portage here to get around it. It took me 1:20 for the first 2 miles and then 40 minutes to make the return trip.

Safety Notes

Tree's could become a serious hazard if the water level gets above 6-7 feet.
