Trip Overview

This was a beautiful winding river. I did 3 miles down stream, then 3 miles back to where I started. There was only one other car at the put-in. I didn't see another human being the whole time. It's very easy to miss the where you pull over and park; be on the look-out. The water volume was low and there were trees and debris blocking passage at several different points. On the map I indicated where the major blockage was. There were some nice bird sitings.

Gear Notes

I used a light weight canoe.

Portage Notes

At least one place was was totally dammed up with fallen trees and debris. There was a little bath along the bank to get around it. The other portages were more just lifting the canoe over a log type of thing.
