This was a first trip for my girlfriend and I. Just a short, easy paddle from the spillway to the remains of Lock's Bridge, just after Beaver Pond. About 2 1/2 miles, all very easy going. The hardest part was leaving a pickup vehicle at the destination, so we didn't have to paddle back upstream. We parked at the end of Lock's Bridge road, on the west bank of the river. Would not attempt to get back in there without a 4WD vehicle. Next time, I may see if I can find access to the Lock's Bridge landing on the east side of the river.
