Trip Overview

Ah the Mulberry, put in at wolf pen and enjoy a class 2-3 pool and drop jewel, its in the Ozark National Forest and has basically three sections. Wolf Pen to Byrds Campground or turner bend/turner bend to cambell cemetary/cambells to mill creek. Total about 50 or so miles I think. Its aqua green water is typical of Ozark rivers and these runs can be divided easily except Cambells to mill creek as no roads are near by. It is a wonderful free flowing river of moderate difficulty in a beautiful peaceful valley.

Accommodations:

Two forest service campgrounds and two full service canoe rentals/campgrounds on the river.

Directions:

Take I-40 from little rock west or east from Oklahoma City than route 23 (pig trail)north near the town of Ozark.
