Trip Overview

Lake is split by Rt109 the smaller side is where the public boat launch is located. The smaller side offers a more relaxed experience as there are fewer power boats and jet skis, but you still have to watch yourself. You can also go under RT109 into the larger part of the lake. The water is a little rougher on the large side as the wind has more surface area to push against and generates larger waves. There is also a store where you can dock and relax with a cold drink or whatever and then resume your trip.

Accommodations:

Public (crude) facilities at boat launch and the small convenience store by Rt 109.

Directions:

From Sanford take Rt 109 North for about 6 miles and watch for the Lakeside Marina on the left. Take a left just after the Marina in to the public boat launch and you on your way.
