Launched at Navy Beach on Mono Lake near Lee Vining CA and paddled past the fantastic tufa formations. The alkaline nature of the lake makes the water a fantastic color that changes based on depth and time of day. Saw an osprey sitting on a nest on one of the taller tufas. Lots of shorebirds. Paddled over toward Pahoa Island and back.
