Trip Overview

Lusk Creek is in the Shawnee Natl. Forest Beautiful wilderness area. Lusk Creek is spring fed clear water with greenish tint. Cliffs and forests no houses.

Check water levels with the USGS - prone to flash floods. Four wheel drive is recommended for use on the forest roads. I was there and pulled 3 different cars out of the mud.

Class I with multiple riffles and sharp turns. Many beavers owls hawks. Saw a bald eagle. It was awesome and peaceful.
