Trip Overview

Had to work the weekend so I was off Monday wanted to paddle so I drove to Wagram put in and paddled up stream for about 3 hours.

Water was perfect; saw snakes lizzards hawk several birds. The river was very open talked to several people who put in at turnpike road and they said they had about 3 or 4 pull outs on the way which was very good news. I'll be going again next week so I'll make arrangements for someone to drop off my vehicle so I can float from turnpike to wagram.

I also picked up 1 bag of trash at the lauch point at wagram... that's something I'd like to see more poeple do.

Oh well thought I'd do a small report...

Directions:

401 to wagram or to float turnpike, go 211 near raeford and take turnpike road to the bridge and have someone pick you up at 401 in wagram NC
