Posting this as a current (June 30, 2024) review of the Lower Shenango River as there seems to be a lot of inaccurate and outdated info out there about this location. For example, there are some posts that the river is full of fallen trees & strainers that make it dangerous or even impassible. Not true for this section today. Also, Google Maps notes that the Pulaski Mill boat launch is permanently closed. Also not true. (I suggested an edit to Maps)
Safety Notes
Read several reviews that weren’t dated or didn’t specify which section of the river they were referring to that said the river is full of downed trees & strainers that made the river dangerous or even impassible. Not the case at this time for this section. While there are some downed trees, all are easily circumnavigated. And did not see the accumulated trash that some noted. Maybe the local river watch group has cleaned this up?
