Lerryn to Golant

Trip Overview

Peaceful paddle which started an hour before high tide at Lerryn. Paddled 5k towards Golant and returned. It was a neap tide so the water level was lower, and the long fin on my friends board was catching on the way back, so I’d recommend river fins and maximise the high tides. Car park at Lerryn floods on a high spring tide. Well worth the effort, with a lovely pub by the slipway for afterwards 👍🏻

Safety Notes

Be mindful of moorings, waist leash advised. River fin advised.

Conditions

Protected for the first 2k, on a breezy day could be more exposed on the Golant end of the paddle

Portage Notes

Although we didn’t stop I noticed 2 places that we could have pulled in.
