Lamprey River in New Hampshire

Trip Overview

Easy place to park and start is junctions of Rt 125 and 27 in Epping. The Lamprey River is best after a good rain or early spring. Depending on water height, there are a couple of trees you can either go over or under but may have to get out of kayak. Great river which meets with North River. Pull out place is in Lee on Rt 152 near the Lamprey River Campground before the bridge. After bridge there are falls. Great 4-5 hour leisurely, beautiful trip.

Directions:

Rt 101 to Epping/Kingston exit, Rt 125. 1 1/2 miles down to set of lights, junction of Rt 125 and Rt 27. Parking available where you put in. Destination: Rt 125 to Rt 152. Continue on Rt 152 to Rt 155, take right. Campground on other side of river approx 3 miles. Leave other vehicle on side of road.
