Lake Thonotosassa in Florida

Trip Overview

I always wanted to Kayak Lake Thonotosassa. It is Hillsborough Countys largest lake. The put in was at the Lake Thonotosassa boat ramp on Knights-Griffin Road. I was surprised at the boat traffic and jet skis, which made kayaking rather difficult. However in spite of the waves and powerboats, Lake Thonotosassa made a very nice paddle. Many beautiful homes dot the lakefront.
