Lake Juniper / Cheraw State Park in South Carolina

Trip Overview

We camped at Cheraw State Park which had shore access to Lake Juniper. The lake is small, only 300 acres but provides a nice paddle. There were a few jon boats that put in at the boat landing and caused a wake. Beautiful, relaxing leisure paddle.

Accommodations:

RV & Tent campground separate from day visit area. Boat landing area open until 8pm

Fees:

State Park usual fees, no permits required.

Directions:

Take I-96 North to Exit 169 near Darlington for 52 North.
Follow 52 North to Cheraw State Park.
