Trip Overview

Short run to check out the Kearsley Reservoir feed. When we first put in I was really worried about blockages as it was so still with a lot of alge on top, but it picked up as we went further. The scenery was great lots of cranes and other birds. we did get wedged on the last rapids, as it's very tights for even a smaller yak, so if you are worried about scrapping, this is not the run for you.

Safety Notes

helmet and pfd very recommended for the sharp concrete rapids at the end.

Gear Notes

helmet and pfd very recommended for the sharp concrete rapids at the end.

Conditions

Very calm to the point of placid at the start and picks up some speed near the end.

Portage Notes

Don't try to go under the big tree, it looks like you almost can until your close, just climb over and send the yak underneath, easy peasy.
