Tried to get out on the water and do a little kayaking at Lake Junaluska today. We estimated that it would be a 3 mile trip paddling around the banks of the lake, but the storms rolled in and we had to cut our trip short. The launch site was easy to access with our trailer and yaks. The water was nice and calm. Plenty of birds around. Will check this lake out again once we get some good weather. Recent rains may have the water level higher than normal.
