Trip Overview

It was a hot sunny day at the end of a very dry spring. River was running low and about 1-2 mph. The stretch from "The Points" to "Dunns Bridge" took approximately 5 hours including a lunch stop, and 2 stretch breaks, and some swimming time. There were a few snags in the river, but plenty of room and depth to maneuver around. We saw Eagles, Deer, lots of Orioles, and many woodpeckers. The entire 5 hours journey we only saw 1 boat. Banks are steep and slippery, this stretch is very isolated. This stretch is very quiet, with only one street crossing at US 421.
