Our kayak trip was on the open ocean, and the conditions were kind of rough at first. We paddled out to the small, flat island named Popoia, which is a bird sanctuary. We got to see some birds in ground nests. Next we traveled to Lanikai beach, and on the way we saw a sea turtle! We didn't have enough time to make it to the Mokulua islands, it would've been about an hour to get out there from where we started, but it was a lovely tour in all!
