Trip Overview

Juniata River "kayaking"

It was a beautiful day on the Blue Juniata! I paddled the Juniata River from Mifflintown to Mexico today. The trip was was about 6 miles. The water level was about 3.98 feet at Newport.

The paddle took about 3.5 hours.
The water temperature was about 75 degrees.

I went to Buttonwood Campground and they shuttled me up to Mifflintown. They are real nice and are the next best thing to finding someone to go with. I see pirates are beginning to take over the river again. Where is The Duncannon Navy?
