28.6 acre reservoir/earthen dam pond surrounded by woods, unobstrusive walking path, and park benches. No restroom facilities. Suburban houses are not visible. Road runs across the bridge at the south end of the lake. Limited street parking at "Sparrow Shoreline" public access point on Golden Ball Tavern Court. Paved road leads to soft shoreline. The entry point is locked/not open to vehicles. 50 paces down to the water. Lots of deadheads after heavy rains. Bottom of shallow lake slopes slowly away from shore. Thick submerged aquatic plant layer covers mucky or sandy bottom. Some small floating islands of Invasive water chestnut. Lots and lots of floating plastic trash and toys surround the pond--it desperately needs a trash paddler group intervention. Many shoreline fishing people, catching catfish today. Sighted blue heron, beaver, turtle, wild hibiscus.
