Trip Overview

This is a run off of the Scituate Reservoir. Water is shallow and moderate current, very cold water even on the hottest days. Several places to stop and get wet...from dam to dam and back is about 2 hours at the most.

Directions:

This is off of route 116 in Coventry/Scituate town line. Best way to find it is look for a store called the yum-yum store, this will be on 116 on the town line at the only bridge. This store sells ice cream, beer, etc. You park directly across from it, in the hope dam parking lot. Launch here, paddle up to the largest dam...river ends here...then flow with the current back. There are lots of ducks, good fishing and nice scenery.
