Beautiful, short 2.5 miles. Plenty of alligators and turtles to see. A few spots of shallow water with rock outcroppings. Easy paddle. On this date there was a section about 1/4 mile from the end at Dead River that was jammed by hyacinth and water lettuce caught on a log crossing the river. The jam is about 20 yards deep and took a while to push through with our canoe. Navigable on far left side (will take you over a long floating log ) or 3/4 to the right between the downed tree and some heavier growth. Careful not to break a paddle pushing the hyacinth out of the way. Besides that it was an easy, enjoyable paddle.
