Overall a great kayak trip that can either be done as a day trip or overnight camping. For those new to kayaking you can take the Argosy fast ferry from Seattle to Blake Island and rent kayaks right at Tillicum Village to paddle around the island.

Safety Notes

Check currents, although typically not that strong between Harper Estuary and Blake Island. Check tides ... avoid Harper Estuary at low tide to avoid mud flats. Check winds.

Perception Captiva 16ft sea kayaks.

Conditions

Calm winds, gentle currents, around high tide. A 10 / 10 day! this is the kind of day kayakers live for :-)
