Trip Overview

Put-in at Mineral Bottom with shuttle provided by Tex's Riverways. Multiple groups launching the same morning, we were first to head to put-in after a quick load-up at Tex's base in Moab.

6 Adults in 3 inflatable kayaks, 1 inflatable canoe (SOAR 14) and one rental canoe. Four of the team members were making their first trip on the Green.

Warm/sunny conditions experienced the first two days of the trip followed by steady rain on the third day of the trip developing into heavy rain in the evening. Remaining days were sunny and warm.

All side canyons were noted to have recent debris outflow.

All campsites were on mid-river sandbars.

Pick-up was at Red Lake Canyon across from Spanish Bottom via jet-boat from Tex's Riverways.

Safety Notes

Due to heavy rain in the middle of the trip, the water level increased and more floating debris was noted. Caution should be used when camping on sandbars in rainy conditions.

Gear Notes

Normal loads with gear divided between all boats.
