Trip Overview

We entered the river around 1400 for some fun and relaxation. The river was a little lower than previous trips in years past. So, in a couple of places we had to get out and walk 10 to 15 feet through shallow water.

The scenic view was great as always beautiful trees overhang the river. Flowers line the bank with the sighting of deer and other small animals. Rocky Kentucky cliffs guide your way down the cool water.

Stopping and taking a swim is a great way to cool down so bring a swimsuit. Plenty of places to put in on sandy and rocky banks for picnics or just to stretch your legs. We took about four hours to go down calm in most with a swift current in others but purely amateur. Our trip was a relaxing way to spend time off and cool down on a warm day.

To all enjoy and keep your head above water.
