8-day Great Bear Rainforest Expedition. Famed for unspoiled landscapes and unique wildlife communities, the Great Bear and the Hakai Conservancy is a paddler's dream. Paddle with Spirit of the West Adventures and water taxi into the Hakai Conservancy and spend 8 unforgettable days journeying north among islands and beaches. Begins and ends in the Central Coast community of Bella Bella. The remote wild of the infamous Great Bear Rainforest draws determined paddlers from around the world. On this trip, you travel to this hard-to-reach area for kayaking and exploring the spectacular fringe of west coast wilderness on the central coast of British Columbia. The trip of a lifetime for many, you may see whales and sea otters. Deserted beaches, ocean swell, and untraveled campsites are waiting for you. On this tour you can expect a combination of exposed open coastline and more protected inner passageways. You will generally paddle several hours each day.
