Trip Overview
We got barely a quarter mile north/downstream before a tree blocked the way, but we could squeak through a snag heading upstream, and went for quite a good ways, about an hour, maybe halfway to Rte 24, at a leisurely pace. Saw a bald eagle, (!) muskrat, fish rising, cormorant, a family of (I'm thinking) wood ducks, just mom and 8 ducklings, egrets, herons, so lovely!! CFS was 3.5 cfs at Chatham for reference. Bring bug spray!
