Trip Overview

I've gone out from this ramp three times now in about a week or so. Its a very convenient place to park, launch and go out on the Cooper for a little bit. The first two days the water was pretty calm - the third it was a bit choppy. Nothing ridiculous, but it was noticeable going against the current. The first two trips out, I checked out the other launch/things to see to the right (down river) of the ramp. The third time started to the left (up river) went under the Admiral Wilson Blvd Bridge (if you're tall you'll have to duck - I'm not tall and had about 2" of clearance) and turned around near the little tiny island. Past the bridge you'll see some cool wildlife and varying birds much more so than on the other side where the launch is. Heading back this afternoon for an hour or so with my friend. Its convenient and fun for quick trips. Probably a good point to launch from if you wanted to take the cooper river on for awhile for a whole day trip.
